Part of the work that the Sexual Assault Services team does is collaboration with other services. SAS is funded to work with local responders like the RCMp, hospitals, clinics, First Nations health stations and matriarchs, Mental Health, BC Ambulance etc. to explore how we as a colective respond and proovide supports for victims of sexual violence. Our hope is that through this collaborative work we can make system changes that improve the supporting and responding systems so that victims/survivors feel as safe and comfortable as possible.
NSDP knows that the best way to explore system changes and improvements is with the voices and knowledge of the people using those systems. In order for us to advocate for changes in the way we respond to victims and survivors in northern BC, we need to hear from the people who have had experiences with sexual assault and/or the systems that were available to them afterwards. To gather this information in the safest way possible we developed an online survey that people can take annonymously at a time and in a place that works for them. If you or someone you know has had an experience with sexual assault in Northern BC, please consider this survey. It is fully ANONYMOUS and a safe opportunity to share your knowledge and insights to help future victims/survivors.
We want to reduce barriers for everyone taking this survey. So if you or someone you know would like to participate but literacy issues or no access to tech is an issue, we are available during regular business hours to help people fill out the survey. This can be done in person or over the phone and we don't need to take their name.
Please follow the survey link provided below and please share it with people you think may like to participate.
