Pregnancy Outreach

In a confidential and informal setting, Pregnancy Outreach provides education and support to women, families, adoptive and foster parents during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum up to one year. Our team includes support workers, a nutritionist, and a Registered Nurse. We assist with a wide range of topics, including physical and emotional health, birth, breastfeeding, nutrition, fetal and infant development, baby care, self-care, and healthy relationships.

Our program includes:
Weekly Drop-in Groups

Group sessions provide an opportunity for women to meet and discuss issues, questions and concerns with each other, staff and invited guest speakers. Topics and activities for groups change monthly and may include specific information sessions, skill building, various crafts, physical activities, and nutrition. A healthy snack is also offered.
Please visit our Facebook page to see information on our upcoming drop-in groups:

Cooking Skills
Nutritional skills and knowledge are gained at these drop-ins. Learn more about making delicious and healthy meals by cooking together in our fully equipped kitchen. There is always good conversation around the kitchen table and a meal to enjoy.

One-on-one Support
One-on-one support is available for all women to privately discuss issues or concerns with a support worker, registered nurse, or nutritionist.

Books, videos, breast pumps, weight scales, prenatal vitamins, vitamin D drops and maternity or baby clothing are available to have for free, borrow, or buy at minimal cost. Food vouchers are available every two weeks to assist in bridging the grocery gap. These vouchers are available from pregnancy until 6 months postpartum and are to purchase only essential, healthy foods like dairy, vegetables, fruit, eggs, beans, grains or meat, as well as additional nutritional supplements.

Peer Support
Peer support is a strong component of the Pregnancy Outreach Program. Women, their partners, and families regularly have the opportunity to meet their peers and share experiences around pregnancy and parenting.

We refer to other programs and professionals often on an as-needed basis. We can assist with finding appropriate community resources, as well as providing accompaniment to appointments, related meetings, or initial connections with other programs. Prenatal classes are offered by qualified facilitators on a regular basis in a group or one-on-one setting. Check with the program for more information.

Our beautiful space includes a fully equipped kitchen and eating area, a large meeting and living room, a privacy room for clients, a play area for siblings, and a bathroom with a change table. You will find us located around the back at:
